At NAMI Fort Wayne, we often hear from families who are concerned about sudden changes in a loved one’s behavior. In some cases, these may be signs of First Episode Psychosis (FEP)—the first time someone experiences symptoms like hallucinations, delusions, or disorganized thinking. FEP most often begins in the teen or young adult years and can feel overwhelming. It’s important to know that psychosis is a symptom, not a diagnosis, and it can be treated.

Please join NAMI Fort Wayne for our monthly Education Night Speaker Series on Tuesday, June 23 from 7:00-8:30 PM featuring guests from The First Episode Psychosis Clinic at Parkview Behavioral Health Institute.

Christine Kelty, PBHI Program Manager-Adult Case Management and Outpatient Therapy, Housing Grants and Jessica Hanna will be our speakers sharing information about First Episode Psychosis (FEP), signs to watch for, why early treatment is important, and how you can access this program.

The First Episode Psychosis Clinic at Parkview Behavioral Health Institute offers specialized care for ages 14–35. Their team provides therapy, medication management, case management, and family support—all focused on recovery and helping individuals return to daily life. For more details see our Resources Page (scroll down to Parkview First Episode Psychosis Clinic).

Education Night Speaker Sessions are free and open to the public.  Please invite a friend, family member or neighbor to join you!
