Please join NAMI Fort Wayne for our monthly Education Night Speaker Series on Tuesday, May 27 from 7-8:30 PM.
Representatives from Parkview Hospital will update the community on the transition of Parkview Behavioral Health (PBH) into Parkview Hospital Randallia (PHV).
In May 2024, Parkview Health announced a $45 million investment to relocate its behavioral health services from the facility at 1720 Beacon Street to Parkview Hospital Randallia at 2200 Randallia Drive in Fort Wayne. This move aims to enhance access to behavioral health care by utilizing two open floors at the Randallia campus.
The Beacon Street facility, originally built in 1984 as Charter Beacon and integrated into Parkview Health in 2000, was deemed outdated for modern neuropsychiatric care. By embedding neuropsychiatric services within an acute care hospital, their behavioral health services will be better aligned with current industry trends, promoting efficiencies and better resource access.
The renovated space at Parkview Hospital Randallia will feature 82 private and semi-private rooms designed according to safety recommendations by The Joint Commission, continuing to serve both children and adults. Construction began in 2024, with the expanded neuropsychiatric unit expected to open in summer 2026.
This event is free and open to the public.
