“The journey begins when a young person living in chaos reaches out to find change.”

Please join us for a presentation about the The Journey’s Rest, Relief, Respond Program to help youth and young adults, ages 14-24, transition from unstable, sometimes traumatic, childhoods to self-sustaining adulthoods. The program seeks to mentor at-risk teens and young adults who need assistance and guidance to obtain resources from the community by meeting mentees where they are emotionally, creating safe spaces where they can escape the chaos, fostering healthy relationships as examples of stability, and preparing them for independence.

Their mentees often have a variety of challenges–unacknowledged trauma, absentee parents/guardians, or uncertain home situations–which may significantly impact their adult health. The Journey believes that building resilience is the key to undermining the impact of childhood trauma on an adult’s life.
