If you or a loved one is in crisis …

Assess the immediacy of the situation

If you need immediate help in an emergency requiring police, fire or emergency medical service (EMS) presence: Call 911. Explain that it is a mental health call. Ask for a CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) responder.

Ask yourself…

Is someone in danger of hurting themselves or others?

Is emergency medical assistance required? Call 911.

Alternatively, call your county Sheriff’s Department or

city Police Department non-emergency number and ask for the desk sergeant.

If you can safely travel and transport yourself or a loved one to a care center:

A preliminary call to the Parkview Behavioral Health Institute HelpLine can direct you to the most appropriate location.
