Please join NAMI Fort Wayne for our monthly Education Night Speaker Series on Tuesday, March 25 from 7:00-9:00 PM.

Our first speaker will be Sarah Mungovan who will share her story and recovery journey. She received the Recovery Rocks “ Recovery Rockstar of the Year” award in 2023.

Sarah is a Fort Wayne native, the eldest of three daughters, a wife, mother of an amazing son, and currently works as a case manager in the recovery community.  She is a driven, empowering, passionate woman–0ne who has found a way to turn her pain into a purpose, heal from the inside out, feel and deal with life on life’s terms. She has turned her darkness into a light to share with others who struggle with PTSD trauma, mental health, and addiction.

She has shared her experience, strength and hope in the recovery community, and looks forward to connecting with NAMI Fort Wayne members and guests.

The second speakers for the evening will be representatives from the Parkview’s peer recovery program speaking about their services. Peer recovery coaches work directly with people struggling with substance use disorders, providing one-on-one support, connecting them with treatment options, and helping them navigate their recovery journey by offering emotional support, resource information, and guidance to overcome barriers in their recovery process.

This event is free and open to the public.
