NAMI Fort Wayne is participating in the Sock and Underwear Drive sponsored by the Our Children Our Future of Allen County System of Care. Our Children Our Future is a collaborative community-based network focused on increasing access to services and resources which promote emotional, behavioral and social wellness for individuals, youth and families.
You can donate NEW pairs of socks and underwear for all ages, all sizes and all genders by bringing your donation to any NAMI Fort Wayne Family, Spouse or Connections Peer support group from now until May 16th. All items will be given to local families during their 7th Annual Resource Fair & Family Fun Night to be held on Thursday, May 18th.
The Resource Fair is scheduled from 1:00-3:00 PM and is geared towards family case managers, school staff, therapists, social workers and direct care workers in the community. Many providers from both the Department of Child Services and community based will be on site to share the services they offer. NAMI Fort Wayne will have a fully staffed booth to share information about support groups, education classes and other NAMI program activities.
A Family Fun Night follows from 4:00-7:00 PM including a free meal, giveaways, raffles, games for kids, and much more! Stop by the NAMI Fort Wayne booth and check out our free mental health materials.
The Resource Fair will also be available during the Family Fun Night portion of the event.
